And there was he, looking at him, his crush since God’s knows when. This guy was such a dream; pale skin, brown eyes, light brown hair.

-Boo! – his friend called him and patted his shoulder.

-Why did you do that, you jerk!

-Your love is showing – said his friend with a smiling face.

-Fuck you.

-When are you going to tell him?

-NEVER!

-Why not?

-C’mon, you know he’s a playboy and he’s the most popular guy in this freaking high school, plus he hates me because I’m gay…

-I don’t think he hates you, maybe his friends do.

-But he follows them! Every time I try to talk to him, they push me away and he says nothing!

-That’s true… well, there are many other boys willing to date you!

-Of course not. And I only want Vernon, he’s sooooo handsome.

-Keep dreaming, buddy!

-Come here you bastard.

-Nope!

Boo tried to chase his friend and he failed; he ended up hurting his knee when he fell down. It didn’t hurt as much as the embarrassment he felt when he realized that Vernon saw him and to make it worse, he was laughing like crazy.

Joshua, his friend, held out a hand and both ran away from there.

-That was so— - Joshua tried to speak.

-Shut the fuck up! It was your fault! – Boo was so mad at his friend. He wanted to kill him.

-I know, and I apologize your grace – Joshua said and he bowed to him.

Boo rolled his eyes.

-Stop – Boo commanded -Let’s go home.

-Yes, your grace.

Days later, when everybody was in the recess, Boo was looking for a table since Joshua didn’t go to school because he was sick.

-Are you okay? – he heard a familiar voice behind him.

-Vernon? – he exclaimed. His heart started to beat so fast; he felt that it was going to break his chest.

-Yes, it’s me – the boy smiled.

-“Oh my god he’s so fucking handsome!” – Boo thought. He saw the boy of his dreams waiting for an answer; he blinked a couple of times and tried to calm himself down –I’m okay… I guess. Why did you ask?

-Because… you know you fell down. It was so funny - Vernn couldn’t hold his smile.

-Oh no, no, don’t… just— try to forget that! – Boo begged feeling his blood rush to his cheeks.

-I’d try, I promise. Hey, since my friend are here… how about eating together?

Boo felt as if was going to pass out. He was so happy but nervous at the same time. What if he does something wrong or weird?

-Boo, are you there?

My god… it was the first time he heard him saying his name…

-Yes, I’m here and of course I’d like to eat with you – he smiled.

Once they were sat at the table, Vernon said something that made Boo choked on his food.

-You look adorable with that blush on your cheeks.

-T-thank you… - he was trying to avoid Vernon’s intense stare –Can I ask you something?

-Sure.

-Why did talk to me out of sudden?

-Because… my friends aren’t here. Listen, they—

-They hate gays, I know that – he hissed –But what about you? Do you hate people like me? – Boo didn’t knew where was all his “divaness” coming from.

-I… don’t hate people like you… in fact I’m… - Vernon made a pause.

Boo was about to shake him; he couldn’t wait anymore.

-I don’t consider myself one of them but there’s someone I like and “this someone” is another guy – he avoided Boo’s judging and surprised stare.

And then Boo hold his breath, closed his eyes and asked…

-Who is he?

-You.

Boo blinked God knows how many times. Was he dreaming? Was Vernon joking? What the hell was going on? He wasn’t ready for that!

-Me?

-Don’t make me say it again, I feel so fucking embarrassed right now – Vernon covered his face with both hands –And—

-Of course I like you too you dumbass! You’re the boy of my dreams, and DAMN! You’re so handsome I can’t believe this is happening to me! – Boo was screaming like crazy.

-Could you please sit down?

-Oh, I’m sorry. But, what about your friends? Do they know?

-Of course not. They would kick me out of the squad. I want to keep it in secret.

-Keep what?

-That you’re mine.

-Wait, yours? – Boo blushed more (if it was even possible).

-Do you want to be my boyfriend?

Boo couldn’t breathe for a couple of seconds.

-YES!

Vernon smiled. Fuck his friends, he wanted to date this diva-boy so bad.

That evening, Boo called Joshua; his poor friend sounded so sick on the phone but he didn’t care he was dying for telling him what had happened at school.

-WAIT WHAT THE HELL? – Joshua screamed.

-He fucking likes me back! In fact I’m his boyfriend.

-What the hell did you do, Boo?

-Falling down? I guess.

-Well…congratulations on your new relationship. You must be the envy of all.

-No nobody knows, just you.

-Is he hiding you?

-Just for now. Wait, he just arrived.

-Arrived? Did you invite him to your house?

-Of course.

-Oh boy, you’re so—

-So what? – Boo was ready to fight.

-Never mind. See you tomorrow. Don’t forget to use a condom! Well that’s for Vernon, bet he’s the active.

-JOSHUA! – by the time Boo yelled, Joshua had hung up –Bitch – he said.

They’ve been dating for months; they finished high school and now they’re on their first year of college both in the same campus but different building and degrees.

They weren’t a perfect couple, they have had their fights and they have argued a lot but it never was that bad.

One day, Vernon was outside Boo’s building waiting for him. After a few minutes he saw him coming with this tall and handsome boy called Kim; he didn’t like him because he’s been getting really close to his Boo.

-Hey there Vernon – Kim said.

-Hi.

-Vernonie, I have to do a project for Monday and—

-I’m his partner – Kim interrupted.

-Yes, and if you have something to do it’s okay, Kim will expend the afternoon at my house.

-Don’t worry, I have nothing to do, I can take you – Vernon said without even think about it.

-Really? – Boo’s eyes shined.

-Of course! – he took Boo’s hand entwining the fingers with his own. He smiled at Kim feeling proud of “ruining” his plans –Let’s go!

When they arrived, Vernon went right to the kitchen to find something to eat; he was starving. Boo and Kim put out their books, laptops and notebooks; that project was really hard to do.

-Do you need some help? – Vernon asked while eating a sandwich.

-Yes, sit down – Boo patted the floor.

Vernon obeyed.

They keep working until almost 5:00 P.M.

-Boo… – Kim, who was quiet all the time, finally spoke.

-Yes?

-I like you.

Boo blushed so lovely and Vernon was ready to fight that giant boy.

-Wait, what? – Boo spoke.

-Don’t misunderstand me, I was practicing.

-Explain yourself – Vernon demanded.

-Okay, okay. First of all, don’t worry, I won’t steal your boyfriend from you, he’s cute and adorable but he’s not type, c’mon he’s my friend. Second, the person that I fucking like is Jeon, have you seen him? Damn he's so precious!

-Yes, I’ve seen him. He’s in my class.

-Wait, wait, are you kidding me?

-No, pale skin, black hair, looks emo but he’s not that emo, right?

-Yes, yes, that’s him! Oh my god, Vernon could you please introduce us? Please, please~ - Kim begged.

-You really like him.

-Of course I do! He has been my crush since we were in high school.

-Don’t worry, I’ll tell him.

-Thank you so much!

Mingyu had gone home. Vernon and Boo were watching a movie while cuddling on the couch.

-Vernon… - Boo spoke.

-Yes?

-I know we’ve been dating for almost a year and I always wanted to ask you, when did you start to like me?

Vernon took some air.

-Well… - he sighed –I don’t know, I think it just happened.

-That’s not an answer – Boo hit his chest.

-Yes it is – he smiled.

-I need to know more.

-‘K. One day, while we were at the main hallway while I was…

-What?

-I was talking with a girl.

-Talking or flirting with her?

-Flirting – he said curtly -My friends overheard Hoshi talking with you about “the guy of your dreams” and my friends were like, “Vernon, you better listen to this” and then you said “I think Vernon is the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. It’s so sad that he’s not into boys and that he has those shitty friends…”. I can’t deny I laughed at you.

-What?!

-The way you spoke was really funny.

-See! You hated gays! – Boo was getting moody and Vernon hated when he was like that.

-I didn’t – he kissed him.

Boo lost himself for a few seconds. They way Vernon used to kiss him always let him without air.

-What happened next? – he asked, hugging Vernon tightly.

–Since that day I realized that you were the guy who was always so nervous around me. I tried to stop myself because you know… my friends were really important to me but that day, when they were bullying you…

[Flashback]

One afternoon, Boo was walking home. It was around 6:00 P.M. He had to stay at school doing some homework. He felt that someone was following him.

-Hey there, Boo! Where are you going? Do you need company?

-“Fuck” – Boo thought after he realized that they were Vernon’s friends. He tried to ignore them and walk quickly but then they stared to run after him. He got so scared, he didn’t know what to do, but luckily Vernon arrived with his motorcycle and interrupted the scene.

-Hey guys, my mom gave me some money, let’s go to eat something!

-Oh man, he were about to beat this fag to death.

-Eating is more important – Vernon looked at a pale and shaking Boo.

-That’s true. We can beat him any other day.

-C’mon!

They guys followed Vernon. Boo needed a moment to calm himself. Surprisingly, Vernon had saved his ass.

[End of flashback]

-So… you started to like me because of that?

-I stared to like you when I saw how innocent and naive you looked.

-I hate you so much – he pouted.

-No, you love.

-Fuck you.

-That’s what I do.

Boo blushed and hit him on the chest for the 10201829^th time.

-I’m so happy to have you with me – Boo said softly.

-Me too – Vernon hugged him and kissed him.

Since it started to rain, Vernon spent the night at Boo’s house.

It was another day and they were in the recess; Kim slapped his hands on the table were Boo and Vernon were having their luch.

-What the hell, man! – Vernon said.

-I need your boyfriend – Kim took Boo’s hand and dragged him to the school’s playing field were Jeon was reading a book while his friends were playing football.

-What’s happening? – Boo asked.

-Today’s the day. He’s alone. It’s the perfect moment.

-Wait, are you serious?

-Yes, I am. I’m going to tell him.

-And why do you need me? Wasn’t Vernon going to introduce you?

-Yeah, but I can’t wait. C’mon be my moral support.

-Okay. Breathe deep and let’s go – Boo said.

-Hi, Jeon…? – Boo called the boy.

-Yes?

-Oh my god. He’s so handsome – Kim cried behind Boo.

-Shut up and let me talk! – Boo whispered –I’m… well my friend wants to tell you something – he pushed Kim.

Boo could see Jeon’s eyes open after he saw the giant boy. He walked away but not too far; he didn’t want to miss that moment.

-“Hmm…this is getting interesting” – Boo thought.

-Here you are – Vernon was agitated after running around the school looking for his boyfriend.

-Shh, I need to see this.

-What?

-Shh.

-My name is Kim and I like you! – the giant boy almost screamed to the top his lumps.

Jeon blushed immediately.

-Oh god… - Vernon said while he mentally slapped himself after seeing that scene.

-I think he should run – Boo whispered.

-I like you too – Jeon was smiling.

Kim hugged him without shame.

-What kind of confession was that?! – Boo screamed, Vernon had to cover his mouth with his hand.

-Let them be. We had a moment like that.

Boo blinked a few times. Vernon let him go.

-That’s right. Let’s get out of here.

-The recess is almost over. Let me walk you to your building.

-‘K – Boo took Vernon’s hand. He had never done that before. He was too shy to show the world how much he loved him.

-Woah, are you serious? – Vernon exclaimed.

-About what?

-You, taking my hand.

-Well, you’re my boyfriend, duh.

-I love you – Vernon said.

Boo blushed and avoided Vernon’s gaze.

-I love you too – he whispered.

-I know – Vernon kissed him on his cheek really close to his lips –I hope Kim and Jeon last long.

-Yeah, who’d imagine that they liked each other?

-The same with us.

-That’s right.

Both kissed.

They didn’t know how long they would be together but what they did know is how much they loved each other.

Okay so this was my first oneshot in english! I wrote it as a final work for my english course (yeah, sounds weird but I know my teacher loved it!).

There are some things that aren't well written (?) cause the teacher didn't check it before I printed it but well... let's just leave it like this. Someday, when I know more english (?) I might correct it (hahaha of course not).
